Wenzhou-Kean University Accepts Duolingo English Test Score for 2020 Graduate Admissions

June 04, 2020 | Graduate Admissions | Chenyan Zhou

The continuous cancellation of TOEFL and IELTS tests in June causes a rising concern from the applicants that many of them may be unable to submit English language scores to complete their applications. In order to ensure a fair and orderly process for graduate admissions, Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU) is accepting Duolingo English Test score for 2020 graduate admissions.

Applicants who are unable to submit TOEFL/IELTS scores before the application deadline can take the Duolingo English Test as a substitution of TOEFL/IELTS (a minimum Duolingo score of 105 is required for admissions), and send the official Duolingo score report to: gradadmissions@wku.edu.cn (master’s application), phdadmissions@wku.edu.cn (doctoral application).

Combining The Adjustments regarding the Application for WKU Graduate Programs announced on April 10, the University hereby reiterates the following key dates of application deadlines:

  1. The deadline for application is June 30, 2020 (late applications will be considered subject to place availability).
  2. English language test scores (Duolingo, TOEFL, IELTS), GRE score (if already taken), and/or degree/diploma certificates should normally be received by the Office of Academic Affairs before July 15, 2020.

Currently, all graduate programs are open for application of Fall 2020 entry. Applicants’ English proficiency is only one of the aspects to be evaluated.
