Profile:
Dr. King Hen Biau, born in Ruian, Zhejiang Province, is the Director of the Department of Forestry Experiment in Taiwan, Chairman of the Society of Subtropical Ecology, Chairman of the International Long-term Ecological Research Network, National Taiwan University Adjunct Professor. Dr. King obtained the bachelor’s degree in the Department of Forestry Science at the National Taiwan University, the master’s degree at University of New Brunswick and the doctorate at Carleton University. As a Taiwan forest scientist, writer, translator, he engages in free writing, and his famous publication includes One Hour in the Mountain (original work) and The Malay Archipelago (translated work) and The Diversity of Life (translated work).
