Traditional Paper Cutting－－Fold and cut

Chinese paper-cut is a type of folk art using scissors and burins to carve the decorative figures for daily decoration and coordination with other civilian activities. The State Council initially ratified paper-cut, one of the most distinctive Chinese folk creations, as the first batch of the national intangible cultural heritage. Visually providing the sense of void and artistic enjoyment with stereoscopic, charming and propitious characteristics, life-like paper-cut pictures simply require a stack of paper and a pair of scissors.
