2024 General Research Program of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education

The 2024 General Research Program of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education is now available to apply for.  

2024 General Research Program of Humanities and Social Sciences（MOE） 

I. Categories    

1.1 Planning Program, funding ≤ 100,000 yuan; 

1.2 Youth Program, funding ≤ 80,000 yuan; 

1.3 Self-funded Program, self-financing funds ≥ 80,000 yuan.  

Research period: 3 years

II. Requirements    

2.1 Application limit in general     

2.1.1 For the planning program, the applicant must have obtained a secondary senior professional title (=associate professor) or higher.  

2.1.2 For the youth program, the applicant, who has obtained either a doctorate degree or an academic title of middle rank (=lecturer), must be born after January 1, 1984.  

2.1.3 For the self-funded program, the applicant must submit the supporting documentation for the self-financing program.   

2.1.4 The applicant in charge of the National Social Science Fund of China Program or the National Natural Science Foundation of China Program is not eligible to apply for the 2024 General Research Program of Humanities and Social Sciences.

2.1.5 The applicant who applied for the 2024 National Social Science Fund of China Program is not eligible to apply for the 2024 General Research Program of Humanities and Social Sciences.

2.1.6 The applicant who failed to receive funding for the 2022 and 2023 General Research Program of Humanities and Social Sciences cannot apply for the 2024 General Research Program of Humanities and Social Sciences.

2.2 Application

2.3 Schedule    

March 22-April 21, 2024. Online submissions later than the schedule will not be accepted.
