去年11月,据统计共有十八位教师及五十余名学生参加了2015/16学年的学生与教师(SpF)合作研究项目。科研与项目资助管理办公室收到涉及生物学,计算机科学,会计学,管理学,市场营销,商业法,经济学,英语和哲学等学科的23份研究提案。经过两轮评审后,12个研究项目顺利进入到了实施阶段。科研办邀请了由研究委员会提名的分别来自美国肯恩大学和温州大学的两位外部评审员来评估每个研究提案。该评估的最高分为80分。所有得分为50分及以上的研究提案都会由指定的学生与教师(SpF)合作研究项目的评审委员会进行进一步的评估。
从2015年11月至2016年8月,这12个通过的研究提案共获得了超过120000元的资助资金。这些资金主要被用于采购研究所需的设备,软件,用具和书籍,以及支付学生津贴和参加学术会议的旅行费用等等。
感谢申请者们在研究上的努力付出,科研办与2016年1月份共收到了11份中期研究报告。也就是说,只有一个项目因未提交中期研究报告和不太满意研究过程而中止了研究。同年9月,科研办收到11份最终研究报告。四篇研究论文在不同的学术会议上展示并获得了发表,它们是“VPER – A Visual HelPER Device for the Visually Impaired Users”,“ An All-In-One Model: Computer Simulations of Population Genetics and Evolution under Hardy-Weinburg Conditions”,“Gamifying Impromptu Speech for ESL/EFL Students” 和 “I will Help You Pass the Puzzle Piece to Your Partner if This is What You Want Me to: The Design of Collaborative Puzzle Games to Train Chinese Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Joint Attention Skills”。其中“Gamifying Impromptu Speech for ESL/EFL Students”这篇论文还被ICA – Instructional and Developmental Communication Division评为最佳论文。至此,第一届学生与教师(SpF)合作研究项目取得圆满结束。
