II Requirements
2.1 Application limit in general
2.1.1 For applicants who started working at Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU) after August 2018, she/he must
(1) have obtained a doctorate degree or have a tenure track faculty appointment at WKU, and
(2) have the experience and ability of undertaking research evidenced by prior peer-reviewed journal articles and/or externally funded research grants.
2.1.2 For applicants who started working at Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU) before August 2018, she/he must
(1) have obtained a doctorate degree or have a tenure track faculty appointment at WKU, and have the experience and ability of undertaking research evidenced by prior peer-reviewed journal articles and/or externally funded research grants;
(2) submitted a grant application as the principal investigator (PI) to the natural or social science funding agencies at national, provincial or municipal level within the last two years, and the grant application was not funded;
(3 )The grant proposal had sound research design and solid preliminary research work (for example, it received positive peer-review comments) and will be much likely being funded after gaining more preliminary data to strengthen the grant application.
2.1.3 As team members or principal investigators of SpF/S projects, she/he cannot apply for the Program with the same or similar topics of SpF/S.

2.3. Schedule
January 29-March 15, 2021. Please submit the application form (soft-copy) to the ORSP by 4:00 p.m. March 15, 2021. Submission later than the schedule will not be accepted.
