Biography
Yue Hu is a PhD candidate who is funded by China Scholarship Council at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in economics at Southwest Jiaotong University and master in business administration (specialization in Human Resource Management) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research is published in Management and Organization Review and presented at international conferences, such as Academy of Management Annual Meeting, European Academy of Management Annual Meeting, and EIBA.

Research Interests
Her areas of research interest include leadership styles and behaviors, proactive behavior, organizational justice, work-family conflict, and international human resource management. Recently, she focuses on (1) how different leadership styles affect motivation and performance abroad; (2) leadership in the digital age.
Yue also has consultancy experience. For example, she cooperated with a Chinese state-owned MNE from the ICT industry and help one of European branches investigated how different leadership actions affect employee behaviors and well-being.
