Biography

Wei Chen is a Lecturer in the College of Liberal Arts of Wenzhou-Kean University. Prior to joining WKU, he taught Diplomacy, English, and French at Huaqiao University. Besides teaching, he also worked and interned at diplomatic representations and international organizations, including the US Embassy in Rome, the Italian Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). His current research focuses on China’s public diplomacy and soft power in Europe during the period 2012 – 2022.

Research interests

International Relations, Public Diplomacy, Sino-EU Relations, Diaspora Studies, Cross-Strait Relations.
