Biography

I first came to WKU for the PIEP program in 2016, and have been teaching English here full-time since 2017. I previously taught at Wuxi Professional College of Science and Technology for five years in Jiangsu. I have been teaching abroad since 2008, and before China, I was in South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, and Russia. I enjoy hiking and going to the campus fitness center. I learn a little more Mandarin every day, and hope to encourage my students to do the same with English, and to speak actively.

Research interests

I enrolled in a doctorate of education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership program at Abilene Christian University in May 2019, and should finish my coursework by summer of this year (2021). I am interested in writing my dissertation on faculty recruitment and retention at international branch campuses.
