Biography

Dr. Nikita Nankov, Department of English, WKU

Dr. Nikita Nankov holds three doctoral degrees–in American Literature, Comparative Literature, and Slavic Languages and Literatures–from leading European and American institutions: Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Indiana University, Bloomington, the US.

Dr. Nankov’s scholarly interests are in the areas of literature, visual arts, and philosophy. His scholarly books and articles have been published in the US, Canada, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Croatia, and Bulgaria. He has participated in numerous top national and international conferences.

At WKU Dr. Nankov teaches interdisciplinary courses on world literature, critical theory, classical music, writing, and English. Before coming to WKU, Dr. Nankov has taught at Indiana University, Bloomington, Auburn University, Alabama, the US, and the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras, the US.

Dr. Nankov is also a widely published poet, prose-fiction writer, and draftsman.
