WKU International One Health Institute

The establishment background

Climate change, urbanization, land-use change and invasion of exogenous species are exacerbating habitat degradation and biodiversity loss, rapidly increasing the risk of new diseases, and threatening human health and survival. In the context of this global crisis, the International One Health Institute at Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU-IOHI) has been established to promote the deep integration of environmental health, animal and plant health, and human health through an interdisciplinary collaborative platform. From the perspective of "One Health", we protect our only home, the earth, and study the sustainable development of biodiversity conservation and human health.
