Educational Idea

WKU follows a “student-centered” approach, delivering high-quality undergraduate education while steadily expanding its graduate programs. The University comprises six colleges: College of Business and Public Management (CBPM), Michael Graves College, College of Liberal Arts, College of Science, Mathematics, and Technology, College of Education, and Chinese Cultural College. Currently, the University offers 18 undergraduate programs that align with Kean University’s strengths and meet the needs of Zhejiang Province across six disciplines, including economics, science, engineering, literature, management, and arts. WKU has established a diverse and mixed curriculum in the field of science, engineering, literature, and arts, with economics and management as its cornerstone. 

Introduction

The University introduces advanced educational resources from prestigious universities in the U.S. and uses original American textbooks. 100% of the curriculum are provided by Kean University and all the courses are taught in English. 100% of the faculty are recruited globally. The University offers small size classes and adopts an inquiry-based learning approach. China’s national conditions and culture education are embedded in teaching practices. The University aims to cultivate students with global vision, know-how of international rules and conventions, and innovative creative and initiative competences. “Start here, go anywhere”. The University helps students realize their dreams and prepare them to be successful in the global arena.


Wenzhou-Kean University now offers 18 undergraduate programs, seven master's programs, and one doctoral program. Kean University offers more than 50 undergraduate programs and more than 60 graduate options for study.

Kean University is a public university founded in 1855 in New Jersey. It enjoys a high reputation in the United States. Kean is a world-class, vibrant and diverse university.

100% of professional courses are introduced from the Kean University, using original American and international textbooks.

We currently have over 263 full-time teachers from over 41 countries and regions worldwide, most of whom have international teaching backgrounds and doctoral degrees.


Faculty

The University currently employs over 580 faculty and staff, including more than 260 faculty recruited globally from 43 countries and regions. Over 86% of the faculty hold a PhD or the highest degree in their fields.The outstanding faculty community has provided strong talents support for the University’s development as a global university.

Students will graduate with Bachelor’s degree from Wenzhou-Kean University, China and Kean University, U.S.A.

The General Education Hall (GEH)

The General Education Hall (GEH) was the first academic building on the Wenzhou-Kean campus. It is a large building located at the southwestern corner of campus. Four building wings are linked together by a central circulation spine. It utilizes Chinese traditional educational space and Wenzhou landscape characteristics. The exterior has a series of grand terraces and is built in an architectural style with patterned red bricks.
