Student Academic Support and Retention Center

The Student Academic Support and Retention Center (SASRC) aims to establish a comprehensive student academic support system and is committed to improving the academic level, skills necessary for academic success, and independent learning abilities of all students, and providing diverse academic support programs to maximize Wenzhou-Kean University students’ academic success and persistence to graduation. The Center coordinates, develops, and assesses the effectiveness of different programs to create an inclusive student academic community and position Wenzhou-Kean University as a world-class Sino-American cooperative education institute.

Academic Advising: We offer academic advising about course planning, registration and graduation guidance, transfer major, and other academic support services for all WKU students.

Tutoring: We recruit and train a group of excellent peer tutors to offer one-on-one tutoring services and Supplemental Instruction programs to students.

Workshops: We organize Educational Workshops and sharing sessions, including pre-test review, time management, efficient learning skills and strategies, test-taking skills, public speaking skills, etc.

Cooperation: We cooperate with other departments and faculty to alert and identify students who have barriers to their success and help them overcome academic challenges.
