One-on-one Tutoring
The primary mission of the English Language Center is to provide individualized support for students in English language proficiency and academic skills development. ELC Supplemental Instructors work with students in one-on-one tutoring in the areas of

- Pronunciation
- MLA/APA formatting
- Presentation skills
- General academic skills

Workshops
The English Language Center offers workshops enhancing both language and academic skills. Attendance from students in the workshops is high, with an average of 25 to 30 students. Topics for workshops vary based on needs of students and courses.

Note: Keep an eye out for posters on the bulletin boards around campus for scheduled times, topics, and locations of workshops.
English Competition Team
Supervised by the English Language Center and supported by WKU faculty, the English Competition Team (ECT) was established in late 2020. Consisting of 63 members from the English Speaking/Debate Team and the Translation Teams, the ECT focuses on enhancing students' professional English skills by selecting and training talented individuals for participation in local and provincial competitions and various English language events. The ECT offers a platform for students to pursue self-improvement and personal growth. Since its inception, the team has secured 23 national-level awards, 15 regional-level awards, and 85 provincial-level awards.

Current learning resources are grouped into 6 sections: Vocabulary, Listening, Speaking & pronunciation, Reading, Writing, and Others. Recent additions to the resource list include the following:
