2024 Wenzhou Philosophy and Social Science Planning Program    

I. Annual Planning Program   

1.1 Basic theoretical research (one year)    

It focuses on the most recent trends and cutting-edge study areas, showcasing a distinct academic innovation and ideological value and advocating for advanced philosophy and social science research results.  

1.2 Applied countermeasure research (half a year）    

This study closely monitors the activities of the municipal administration, with a specific emphasis on strategic, significant, challenging, emergent, typical, and policy-related matters. It adopts a forward-thinking, strategic, and targeted approach. Additionally, it might serve as a reference point for the municipal government's decision-making process. Enclosed is the 2024 Wenzhou Philosophy and Social Science Planning Programme Guideline.  

1.3 Wenzhou Cultural Research Project and Wenzhou Studies Research

It investigates the current progress of Wenzhou, with a specific emphasis on enhancing the implementation of Xi Jinping's ideology of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and Wenzhou's adoption of Chinese-style modernization. Additionally, it undertakes a comprehensive historical analysis of Wenzhou's distinctive history and culture. Furthermore, it studies Wenzhou's exceptional traditional culture's transmission, evolution, innovation, transformation, and dissemination. It explores prominent individuals from Wenzhou and associated communities and investigates Wenzhou spirits such as the "Four Thousand Spirits." Additionally, it investigates the intersection of Wenzhou studies and Chinese civilization, Wenzhou studies and contemporary China, the international dissemination of Wenzhou studies, and the advancement of Wenzhou studies from the standpoint of Sinology and the development of Wenzhou studies' theoretical framework.

III. Requirements   

3.1 Program Application   

In principle, the applicant as principal investigator/project director can only apply for one project. The project sponsored as a national social science project, a provincial social science planning project, or a provincial social science project will not be accepted and sponsored again.   

IV Application   

4.1 March 28 6-April 25, 2024.  Submissions later than the schedule will not be accepted.
