About Us

Introduction

WKU Foundation is a non-profit private organization. The Foundation was established in July 2016 with the approval of the Civil Affairs Bureau of Wenzhou. Its immediate superior is the Wenzhou Municipal Education Bureau.

Mission

Under the premise of abiding by the Chinese Constitution, laws, regulations, and national policies, the Foundation will support and promote the sustainable development of Wenzhou-Kean University, and strive to contribute to the sustainable economic and social development of Wenzhou City.

The Foundation’s scope of operations is as follows:

1) Build and renew administration and research facilities;

2) Support main subjects, laboratories, and courses;

3) Introduce Talents and famous scholars to the university;

4) Award grants for educational reform and facilities improvement, all contributing to the healthy development of Chinese-foreign cooperation in education.

5) Support the convening of high-level international academic conferences.

6) Reward outstanding staff and staff who have made outstanding contributions and students who are excellent at school.

7) Subsidize poor students to complete their studies.

8) Support the development of The College of Overseas Chinese of WKU and Wenzhou Businessman College of WKU and invest in related construction projects.

9) Support and invest in other projects related to Wenzhou-Kean University.
