Interfolio-Faculty Search System

WHAT IS INTERFOLIO?

Interfolio is a faculty information system that provides a full suite of faculty-focused technology to support every stage of the faculty lifecycle, from hiring through tenure.

Interfolio modules currently in use:

Faculty Search (FS) – supports posting creation, job application submission, committee review, and applicant selection.

Faculty searches are typically only conducted for tenure-track (Assistant/Associate Professor) positions and non-tenure-track (10/11 months Lecturer) positions. In most cases, the decision to run a faculty search is made jointly by the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs and the relevant college Dean. 

WKU Faculty Search Basic Procedures to Follow:

Logging in

Log in to the Interfolio FS platform by navigating to https://account.interfolio.com/sso and selecting "Wenzhou-Kean University" from the list of available partner institutions. Users will be prompted to authenticate with their WKU emails and password.

Position creation and approval

Search Committee Chairpersons create the position on Interfolio FS by following the Guideline for Faculty Positions, a concise instruction for advertising faculty teaching positions to align with WKU standards.

The chain of position approval is Deans-VCAA-HR. When the position is approved by the Deans and VCAA, HR will be the last step to review the position details and publish the advertisement on the job boards and other professional hiring platforms.

Running the search

Search Committees manage applications and evaluate applications on the Interfolio FS by following program-specific Instructions.

Close the search

HR will close the position on the Interfolio FS after the position is filled.
